You are most likely experiencing interference from another wireless signal or electrical device. In order to eliminate the interference, you can change the channel that your router is operating on.
Your router will have 11 different channels to choose from. The best way to do this is to start with channel 1 and work your way up. Each time you change the channel on your router, you need to shut down and restart your wireless computer. If you have an AirLink wireless router and need instructions on changing channels, please refer to the knowledge base category for that product.
You do not need to change channels on the card. The card will automatically pick up your router’s new channel when it is done restarting.
Also make sure that your router is at least a few feet away from other electronic devices (especially cordless phones). It is best not to put the router in the same room as a cordless phone.
You might also be too far away from the router. Try moving things closer together to see if it makes a difference. Concrete walls and fish tanks will completely stop the wireless signal, so make sure you do not have any of these things in the way.
If you have encryption (wireless security) set up on the network you are trying to connect to, make sure that you enter the encryption key into the adapter software. Please refer to the knowledge base category for your particular adapter for instructions on setting up encryption
