Upgrading the firmware is very simple. You need to first obtain a copy of the firmware file. You will also need a ZIP compression utility like WinZip, or you can use the one built in to Windows XP.
You need to make sure that you are doing all of these steps from a computer that is physically connected to your router. If you do this from a wireless computer, you may PERMANENTLY DAMAGE your router.
First, extract the firmware file from the ZIP archive that you downloaded from our website.
Log in to the router's configuration page (http://192.168.1.1)
Type in “admin” for both user name and password
Click “Administration” at the top
Then click "Firmware Upgrade"
Click the “Browse” button and locate the firmware file that you extracted
Select it and click "Open"
Then click “Start to Upgrade” and wait
DO NOT disturb/unplug the router until the process is complete or you may cause PERMANENT DAMAGE to your router.
